| I like having a DVD to back things up but I hate having to put one in my drive if I've made a full install. _________________ "Growing old is inevitable but growing up is optional."

| Well, we've just gone past 100,000 visitors on the Skyrim Blog Amazing really. I genuinely never thought so many people would come to a one-person blog about a game! I feel a celebratory drink is in order |

| Over 183,000 visitors and climbing. Over half of those are from the USA which means either that the game will be very popular here or we have an awful lot of bored people searching the Internet for whatever. 144 countries are represented. Not bad for a one man blog which has been up for only about five months.
I was also looking at the screenshot gallery there and the graphics look really great. Now if the game holds up to its hype. Do we expect too much? _________________ Blind faith is a liability: Skepticism a necessity. |

| Congratulations to The Skyrim Blog. 200,000 visitors and over. At this rate it should hit 250,000 before the game is released.
I imagine things will slow down once the game is released but after people have had a chance to play the game I bet comments will pick up. People will want to talk about the game and what they did and find out what others did. _________________ Blind faith is a liability: Skepticism a necessity. |

| Thanks Nakia In fact it will almost certainly hit 250K by the end of the week at current visitor levels. Rather frighteningly, if the current visitor rates continue it will get to something over 400,000 visitors by the time Skyrim is released. Scary..... |

| Scary indeed. The increased traffic will probably look like a tsunami once the game is released. _________________ "Growing old is inevitable but growing up is optional."

| Yep, that is scary. Paul, did you have even the tiniest idea something like this could happen when you started out? Please stay scared and humble. Remember you may be doing a good job but it is Skyrim they want. You give us what we want so congratulations. Grandma Rogue _________________ Blind faith is a liability: Skepticism a necessity. |

| No I didn't have a clue, Nakia In fact I'd have probably been happy if I'd got a few thousand visitors by the time Skyrim came out - which sounds a bit daft now when you think that theres been more than 7000 visitors in the last daySometimes I wonder if I created a bit of monster to be honest.... |

I bet there are times you wish it wasn't so popular but at the same time it must make you feel good. You have over 400 subscribers. I have no idea how many people have joined Disqus. I know I did and at least a few others. So now you are stuck with us your loyal Skyrim fans. If it gets too much remember you have that friend Vix, I think that is his name. He seems smart and capable and I like his idea of a shadow moderator to help out if need be. Having people flag questionable posts is a good idea too. One official forum I belonged to we did not have a moderator just an official administrator. We got into a routine of reporting posts. First person who saw it reported it but to avoid multiple reports he or she posted under the initial post "reported". Nothing more, no comments or any kind of reply to the post. _________________ Blind faith is a liability: Skepticism a necessity. |

| You're welcome, Paul.
As for a name change the more I think about the more I think the name should stay the same. The Skyrim Blog has an established following. If someone complains that it is more than a blog simply say "Thank you but the majority wanted the name kept."

| Hokay, that's it! The Skyrim Blog is too successful. I am having a hard time moving around and posting. Even checking Like is getting a bit hard. Enough already, Paul! Part of the problem is my Internet connection which I will work on when I do not need to spend so much time in New York but that is only part of it. _________________ Blind faith is a liability: Skepticism a necessity. |

| At least 525 subscribers to the Skyrim Blog. Good show. It will also be moving to a site better equipped to handle it. I understand that the Domain Name will be linked to the new site so we should have no problem accessing it. I believe that a new page for individual profiles or character page is also coming. I really look forward to that as I love to talk about my characters. _________________ Blind faith is a liability: Skepticism a necessity. |

| Thanks Nakia, all of that is true - it will soon morph into a social site with space for character stories, fan fiction, screenshots, fan art and more. It's really got a bit insane over the past couple of weeks. We're currently getting around 10,000 visitors a day, and have topped 300K in total. At this rate it will possibly get to the half million by 11.11.11. which is just unreal.... It's rather nice to come to the Saloon for a bit of sanctuary |

| I am glad you can relax a bit here, Paul. We could use a wee bit more activity but I am happy not to have to deal with what you have to deal with. Right now I have enough with my personal life and 2011 has been an insane year. Congratulations to you. _________________ Blind faith is a liability: Skepticism a necessity. |

| Congrats. It's incredible the following that Skyrim is getting. Still we all know that the core fan base is not that huge. Many casual players mostly play to "beat the game" -as fast as possible so they can brag about it on the net. _________________ "Growing old is inevitable but growing up is optional."

| More fools they and more lucre for Bethesda. Fine with me that will keep Bethesda making TES games probably longer than I will live or at least be capable of playing. The real fun of TES is the exploring and looking for new things. Then the modders come along and make some good mods that keep you playing some more and the years fly by. Why rush with a game like that. Two hours and fifteen minutes is nothing. I brag about the hours and hours and hours I have played Morrowind and Oblivion. I intend to take my time with Skyrim and take a good look around. _________________ Blind faith is a liability: Skepticism a necessity. |

| Paul has been busy moving The Skyrim Blog to a new site, a Ning site which can carry the load better and has some extra features. I have been busy trying to greet people but I can't keep up with everyone. Come one, come all to the fair, lots of things to do and see.
I see from The Tuesday letter that Paul is going to link the Domain Name to the new site. _________________ Blind faith is a liability: Skepticism a necessity. |

I shouldn't need to. I've altered the DNS Settings and once it has fully propagated across the Web that URL should point to the new site. However, I probably should change my signature image, and I'll get onto that.... |
