PostSubject: VA related tools question   Wed Nov 16, 2011 12:34 pm

This thread is concerning my work in progress, my HoU. , or therefore the voicing of it.
Long story short, I still have 8 characters to voice, and instead of scrounging to find someone worthy of being part of my work, I have decided to do it myself. However, I just can't voice 6 male characters with the same voice... so my question is this -- any of you know voice tweaking tools? If I could make myself sound different, I would voice the remaining characters, except for Dragon, Jez and Carabas which all have their own voice.

I don't really know. Audacity comes with some options to edit the sound so you may change the pitch and stuff. Worth a try. I guess Jez and Nakia know about that sort of thing.

I tried WavePad and by lowering the pitch a little I was able to make it sound different, but that still doesn't do it. With the spring cleanup I have less characters to voice, but it's still an issue.

I am familiar with Audacity which as Cara says makes it able to change the pitch of the voice a little. I have a feeling a really good sound editor would cost. I may run a search and see what I come up with.

i got it here
http://www.screamingbee.com/store/skype.aspx

this is just for voice changing. minor things i think can be done in Audacity..
