I've stumbled upon these fan made films which are based on Peter Jackson's LOTR trilogy and the original Lord of the Rings novel by JRR Tolkien.

Born of Hope shows the story of Aragorn's father whereas The Hunt For Gollum deals with the events between The Hobbit and The Lord of The Rings.

Both look pretty good for fan made projects. Most of the acting is decent (some cringy moments are to be expected but it's not that bad).

I didn't like the second and third movies in Jackson's trilogy and I won't be seeing the Hobbit on the big screen (I'm not spending my money on any of Jackson's movies anymore) but it's worth pointing out that these fan made films are a lot truer to the source material (which Peter Jackson raped with his inane interpretation of the novel).
