Sorry to be so quiet over the past week.  I've been poorly with flu but am now beginning to recover.

GOG have a sale on a new game called Lethis.  If you enjoyed Caesar III or Pharaoh and Cleopatra, you'll love this city builder.  It uses the same mechanics as Caesar III, but all is updated and you're creating a Steampunk city.

The graphics are quite lovely, the detail super.  The bourgeoisie have automatons to do their work and you see these roaming the city streets.  The administration options are a mix of old, new and the bizarre.  One person your city definitely needs is the Exorcist.  It's well worth zooming in to see who is roaming your streets and what their job is.

You build, trade with other cities by balloon caravans, fulfil your mission and start again with new goals. Lethis is a lot of fun and I recommend it.

This looks absolutely lovely. Nice find Sue.

I've been playing it non-stop - it's a good way to recover Wink

The game is lovely and I'm really enjoying it. I like the way the characters in this game, also the way your clockwork city is suspended in the deep blue sky and stars. There are some super touches in this. There's foxes and owls hidden in the trees. Gravestones have ghost that occasionally surface and there are some trees which look like possessed abominations of nature.

Did you get it?

Nope, simply too many games I've been meaning to go through. Besides I've already picked a few bundles lately so my plate is full (including a little gem called Rogue State). I've added Lethis to my wishlist though. Wink
