PostSubject: Greetings, from Ichor...   Wed Jan 05, 2011 2:05 am

Introductions, introductions, introductions...

Isn't this the place to make them? At the beginning?

My dark brother (guess who?) invited me here from...somewhere else, in there I was called by another name, but like the slumbering mythical beast (you might want to read some Kalevala, for the obscure reference) I resided under the waves and rose to bother heroes of old only seldom...and lately I had become even more of a rarity...

As to what I prefer to be called here? Blood of the gods isn't it, and yet...something rather vile, if one necessarily wants to see it that way...this suits me fine (but I'm really super-friendly so you don't have to be worried, it's mainly all for show...)

I do have an interest in using my voice, but we'll see how things develop...I find this place...intriguing so far...

As to my personal history....well...I'm a regular jack-of-all-trades-master-of-none type, so far 29 and counting, making my way veeery slowly to become a librarian-with-a-degree. I used to study theology and actually got handed a congregation of sorts, which I kept for less than 5 days...went to study biology, but quit that...sang the lead in a couple of bands for a short period of time...I think I might write something worthwhile sometime, but let me just get to it...I've worked cleaning cruise ships; worked in a factory; as a farmhand; as a pea-picker; as a telemarketer very briefly; in fund-raising for a longer time and of course in libraries...and now? The future, my friends, the future is always becoming, very much so...the rest you might find along the way, and there's no rush with anything...

So...hello...I will be lurking in here, somewhere...

Welcome Ichor. Finnish mythology is a fascinating subject indeed.

So you sang for a couple of bands? That's cool. What kind of music/bands are you talking about?

Ichor, fascinating, writer, voice actor ,singer, and many other things including theology. I am struck silient. I thought I had a varied history but you beat me hollow and at such a young age.

I am most happy to see you here and hope to hear you soon. our cat, sukura, welcomes you too especially if you brought a treat of fish.

Thanks fro welcoming me everybody Cool

Carabas, the bands were...regular garage rock, a lot in the lines of Hellacopters (not sure if you know that band...heavy Detroit Rock influences there, MC5 and The Stooges) I did manage to get a demo out of the that one, but the other, more ambitious project never came to anything since other one of the guitarists spent too much time nitpicking with the soundboard during band practice.

I wasn't in either of the bands for that long a time...moved into another town on both occasions so that ended those...

I get what you mean. It's hard to get the right people with what it takes to make a good band. Some gifted musicians can be really annoying... That may come with the territory though.

Anyway if you're any good as a lead singer you shouldn't give up. I can shout and howl (sort of) but I wish I could sing. I would have loved being a performer.

I can do death metal vocals, and every now and then when schedules matches, me and the guys rehearse. Since I started moving away from DM, there's been talks about integrating Industrial influences into the music. A slower form of death metal, though... with strong emphasis on ambiance.

Kalevala-obviously Ichor could educate us on Finnish folklore. Finland is another place I know little about. How about some information, Ichor?
