Don't worry about it OldCoot. I don't mind moving topics. It is so very easy. Splitting them is a bit harder but moving is a just a couple of clicks. Cara had to tell where stuff was when it was right under my nose. That was the problem I see better off center.

Or, quite simply a dual-boot system with a BSD/Linux partition and a Windows partition. The only real downside is rebooting to change OS, but otherwise, IMO, it's perfect. BSD/Linux for work, and Winblows for gaming. That "Satanic" Ubuntu does have some interesting artwork. I'd be intrigued to see this on a Xubuntu with the XFCE UI. As for Red Hat, wasn't it abandoned in favor of Fedora? I know Red Hat are still alive and kicking. I could be wrong, though, I've been exclusively on BSD, so my knowledge of Linux and it's 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 distros is pretty limited. Except for Linux Slackware and Gentoo, I don't care for Linux.

Well, I know they have themes for KDE and GNOME, not sure about Xfce though.

You would have to walk me through this. Also I use the Windows Aero theme because I need it for the magnifier. I believe there is a magnifier I can get online but have forgotten how good it is. The magnifier is a must have for me.

It would also help if I had any idea what ya'll are talking about might as well use French in fact that would make more sense to me.

Or you can just download the ISO, burn it to disk, reboot the pc. Linux Mint will load up, click install and during the install it will give the option to install alongside Windows. Click that choice and after it's installed you will have the choice between the 2 Operating Systems.

Spell check? I never use it. It always wants me to change words when I drop the "g"s off my words, so words like thinkin' become thinking and that just isn't me. Also words like a'spell as used when ya say "Sit a'spell" it wants me to change it to Aspell. So I just won't use it.

I use ignore a lot. The thing is there are common words I use that I spell wrong and do not wish to, then I tend to use big words that I really want spelled correctly. To each there own as the old woman said as she kissed the cow. I would call her a pervert but I hugged a computer today.
