I've just bought a Festival Pass for the Frightfest October digital event. I also got one for my Grandson, Tom who turned 18 on the 4th October.
Frightfest!Usually, the October Frightfest event is a Halloween all-nighter at the Prince Charles cinema in Leicester Square, London. However, due to the fact that the August Frightfest couldn't physically take place, the organisers decided on a replacement event in October, so the Frightfest crowd could meet up. Seating was organised in accordance to social distancing, masks needed to be worn, etc., which meant that roughly a third of the usual audience could attend.
This event was supposed to be held at at Cineworld in Leicester Square, London, with some of the films being available using a digital platform. The rise in covid cases changed that, especially once additional restrictions were re-instated in the UK.
The festival organisers decided, quite early on, to change it to a completely digital festival. This time though, there's a bigger range of films to choose from.
I'll write snapshot reviews of those I see. Life allowing, there should be more of them.
It starts on the 21st October which isn't that far away!
