| Anyone played those games? I got the first one for $10 back in the day, and I happily played the crap out of this game. The plot isn't that great, but the exploration is good tradeoff. You have to take time to explore and find hidden stuff. Not spoiling, but there is a mini-boss which cannot be defeated in any way shape or form... unless you have one of the hidden items. The game also had some frustrating dungeons, and one of those has a perticularely pissant level. The story -- an "evil" sorceress has grabbed an artifact of great power, you must stop her. Nope, nothing groundbreaking here. You pick one of the three heroes, Ak'Shel, a Dracoid, Kieran, a Huline, Conrad/Michael, humans. In a nutshell, the Dracoid is the mage, the Huline the Thief, Michael is the tank, and Conrad is the best overall. The second game, Guardians of Destiny, continues the story of the first one, and I am NOT spoiling anything. The game would prolly make Cara puke his guts on the floor as the graphics are in the vein of the old Shadow Warrior. This one also has some ballbusting dungeons, and some of them have a creepy ambiance which is great. There is a third game, but I will be honest, I never played it. I never really bothered. Maybe I will give it a shot. I wanted to play Guardians, but my Disc 1 has a small chunk missing and wouldn't read. So, I turned to GoG... and found both games for $6. If you enjoy old-school RPGs and don't mind the graphics, both games are enjoyable. http://www.gog.com/game/lands_of_lore_1_2 |

| That brings me back. I never had a chance to actually play these (since I didn't have a PC back then) but I remember the days when they were state of the art. The screenshots on gog don't look that bad. |

| It actually took me several months to beat the later part of the game, and in the second game, you have the freedom of playing evil and you will get another ending, a better one, IMO.
Right now I am in the Dracoid Ruins, this place is creepy and ballbusting, and next.is the Cemetary.
Both games are worth your time yet I prefer Guardians. For $6 it's definitively worth a look. |

| Having missed some crucial items in my first playthrough -- and I got the "good" path out of the way -- I started anew as evil this time. I love the freedom the game gives you to be an asshole.
A big fight in Chapter 3 was ballbusting but it saves me a lot of trouble. It was fun, killing those Hulines. |

| I was thinking about doing a short LP of the game to show off the first chapter of the game. Would it be of any interest? |
