| That's a really big project though and even with a large team it'd take some real work. One can only admire the commitment necessary to pull off something like that. You have to be crazy and I mean it in a good way. I wanted to play through Irenicus Dungeon this week end but something came up. I'll try to test it at Christmas time. It's funny because for years I've been using the Dungeon be gone mod so playing through Irenicus Dungeon will definitely bring back some memories. I think I may be able to go through most of NPC lines by heart even now. |

| I didn't hear anything either , jez. I sent in for about 9 supporting characters. The lines we did were only for the dungeon and the promanade. There will be casting calls for the other areas maybe. Keep an eye out, please.

| Yahoo! A little brag time. Jezdamayel and I both have minor, supporting roles in the 2nd model, the Week (spelling) promenade. Email from the Redux Team was sent on the 19th. I just saw it because of being off the computer. Even a small part in this project is an achievement.

| This project will take years to finish if it gets finished. Athkatlan is only part of the game and they have only down two sections. They have they government section to do, the temple district, the slums, the dock, the graveyard and there is a lot there. Some party members get picked up in Athkatlan (not sure I spelled that right).
We will do fine, jez.
I hope I can install BG 2 on my machine. I have the original GotY. I may have to buy the re-issue. I hope not.

| On the official Redux forum which I joined they tell me that you can use either the new BG or the original BG that both work on Windows 7 with no problem We will see. At least I already have DA:O so that is no problem. I wish I hadn't lost one of the disks to the first BG/SoA that I had I would send it to you but were that disk went to is a total mystery. I think the squirrels stole it. |

| The socks I can understand they can use them for nesting but a disk??? What could they use that for. I have searched and searched with no luck.
I wish I could play the orginal game. If I only knew a way to get my magnifier to work with games. Oh what a wonderful thing that would be!! |

| I think you are right. They wanted to play with Boo who is a hamster that Minxs insists a giant space hamster or something. Blast I am forgetting things. He talks to Boo and then tells you what Boo thinks. Boo just sits there and blinks at you. The squirrels may have wanted to make a mod that featured Boo. |

| I have been visiting the Redux forum on Game Nexus. In fact I joined it even though I only a visitor there. Here is a little update on what they are doing.
They are changing the graphics to the DA:O egine. Some parts maybe deleted that they feel are not necessary to game play. The are not changing the D&D ruless as I understand. If a modder turns up that is doing that or caple of doing it and wants to do it they may integrate it into the mods. But the current team has no intention of doing that.
Personally that is one thing I think could use some changes especially in combat and the AI scripts. I was never crazy about the spell casting system either although once you got a little experience the spell casting could be lived with. |

| jez and I received a cc emailfrom the BG II Redux team stating that the deadline for the VO lines was March 31st. This means the project is moving along and Modules I & II should be released soon. Slight snafu though. jez and I did not receive our lines. It seems they were overlooked and did not get into the script compulation. Hopefully they will be sent to us soon but we will not be given extra times. The parts are small so I expect that as soon as we get the lines and have made recordings we are satisfied with we will get them back in a timely fashion. I can't wait to hear the new voice of Minx.s. I still haven't gotten up enough nerve to try installing the game to Windows 7. The Redux team says that I should have no problem with the original game. I have GotY. Never used. I may even try playing the orginal game even with the tiny graphics. Hold up my hand magnifier and mouse click with the other hand. At keast tiy cab oayse cinbat ti ussye irders, |

| I just had a fun time on SKYPE with the BG Redux Team. Seem like really nice guys. I have to gegister with TRAC then I get my permissions then I guess I find out what I download then I will get an assignment. Then... Wow this is complicated. This conversion thing is not simple. Murphy's Laws rule for sure. Take dialogue for instance; You just don't write a script then offer for VAing then paste to the character. It has to go through a complicated process of type and re-type or you use a tool set to help you. Hurray for properly used tool sets! If you have spells you have to get them to work. Don't imagine I will be doing that. Programing is not my line of work. |
