Fallout Et Tu

The other day I was musing that it would be great to be able to play Fallout 1 with all the improvements of Fallout 2 and that it would be the perfect Fallout game.

Well, it seems it's been done:

The mod requires Fallout 1 and 2 installed and allows to do just what I've been wishing for, i.e. play Fallout 1 with the additions introduced by Fallout 2.

I've installed the mod today and it is like a dream come true.

You guys can't imagine how much it means to me to be able to click on one button and take all the loot from that skeleton you start next to in Fallout 1.

Is there a remastered version of Fallout 1? My eyes struggle with the graphics of some older games.

I love the graphics in this game and the GOG version comes with support for modern resolutions but the problem is that it doesn't make the UI any larger so I'd suggest playing at a lower resolution than your native resolution (but still larger than the original). This tends to make the graphics look a bit better at the cost of somewhat smaller text.

Of course it fills the screen on my computer so it looks bigger than this but that should give you an idea.

I've created what the modders call a "generic black guy" for a change and it's nice to have some variety (there is a long haired option and a bald option as well).
