| Cara, is there anyway we could get whatever recordings we have into one place either here or somewhere else?
I have made two new recordings. Not sure if you can use them. They sound alright to me but may be too loud or too low for others. [Only admins are allowed to see this link]
Could someone check and see if they can either play the file or download it. I think there may be too many windows to go through. |

| Could you use another file hosting service please? This one is a pain and I haven't even managed to download your file. Mediafire or rapidshare are both better IMHO. I've created an account with soundfolder: [Only admins are allowed to see this link]I'm updating it with new welcome messages for the forum. The limit is 20 Mo with a free account so we can upload enough files for the forum. I thought I had posted about it before but it's a good idea to bring that up anyway. |

| Maybe You did, Cara. I am afraid I have been a bit distracted lately.
Yeh, I was afraid the above site was going to be a pain. I will check out the ones you noted. Back to 4share for now. Working on Rapidshare

Lets see if this works: Rapidshare [Only admins are allowed to see this link] I think this is working. |

| I haven't forgot about the welcome message, but try as hard as I can, I cannot for the life of me sound welcoming. A greeting just sound so contradictory to my voice and tone. Imagine being greeted warmly by say, Bishop. It's just so contradictory it's mind blowing. |

| Do one you feel comfortable butno bad language. I think it would make a nice contrast. Personally I think all this warmth and goodwill gets boring. The one Cara is using of mine is terrible. A saloon is not exactly a child's nurery. Who hangs out in a saloon but people of questionable reputation. |

| TON you don't have to be warm or to actually welcome people. Just don't tell them to frak off and say the name of the forum in a cool sentence. "You've find your way to BSS. I'm the Exterminator, I watch while Janitors mop the floor." A fake exterminator/pest control ad could be cool. "BSS is sponsored today by TON's pest control services. You need some varmints that require some quick annihilation? Use our local Exterminator service complimentary for BSS Members only." I've also been thinking about the A Team beginning speech: - Quote :
- In 1972), a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire... The A-Team.
Only let's replace 1972 by 2010 and prison/military court/LA and military stuff by something else. It could be fun. I'm going to try and record a welcome message. I don't want people to think that I'm doing a poor impression of a Celtic accent as I tend to speak English this way naturally (probably because I had too much fun in Scotland). I'm contemplating throwing some French words in the message to make up for this. I'm still waiting for Silvery's message by the way. Sakura777 did a great job. We have to take advantage of the fact that we have very talented British ladies posting here. |

| A fake Celtic accent? Scotie, Star Trek. "Welcome to BSS. Our mission is to seek out those tired of the same old over-structured, over-authoritarian forums." By the way did you see I used Rapidshare. The recordings are silly but I am bored. |

| I can't do anything at the minute. My hearing's down the pan again so I can't hear what I've recorded. How about 'Welcome to BSS, once you get past the cringey, wild west gibberish, it's fun" |

ROTFLMAO Hokay, not funny like Sil's but I was thinking of doing this: "Welcome to Belle Sakura Saloon. I am your hostess for the day and the resident rogue so watch your wallets and belonging. May you enjoy your stay and I be a bit richer." In fact see what you think of this. [Only admins are allowed to see this link] |

| Good let us hear it. Cara, I was looking at the SoundFolder site. Would it be easier for you if we did not zip the files? |

| They're small enough, I'll just unzip them and reupload them. I think that it's good to improvise and see what comes out. |

| If you don't like a recording you've made then you shouldn't post it for me to upload as a new welcome message. I've changed it back to Jez's message for now. Tell me if you want me to change it (I should post instructions so that you and Jez will be able to manage that). |

| You did post instructions. I just haven't had a chance or the strength to check them out. Thanks for changing. In fact could you just toss that one out. I actually have gotten to like my voice but that one really annoys me. It is too out of character. Told you I was bored when I did it. |

| Recording's not been done, I've been head-over-heels busy those last days. I'll try and see to it later this week, hopefully. I DID filmed another Warriors of The Eternal Sun update, though. |

Don't know if you listened to this, Cara, and didn't want to use. If you did that is no problem I can always try something else. [Only admins are allowed to see this link] |

I would really appreciate that. Thanks. |
