| I've just finished playing the two DLCs and I'm now resuming the Main Quest. I love this game. Anyway I wanted to know if anyone has played through these two and what you thought about them.
IMO these are two gems, if you like the original game then you should definitely get them. They build up on the game stronger points i.e. exploration, back story and numerous quests. There is enough content to keep you busy for a while and not two or three hours like most extra content.
Despite the pirate theme which may be a bit stale by now the Legend of Dead Kel is really good with another interesting story and a very nice stronghold that you can get. I won't spoil it but that is what a stronghold is supposed to be and not a useless add on like Warden's Keep for DAO.
Teeth of Naros moves deeper down south and it is slightly disconnected but it brings plenty of content and a fairly exotic setting with some epic moments. It's a bit different but it's a fairly solid add on.
The rewards for completing these quests are pretty cool and what I find absolutely great is that the story doesn't end when you're through with the main quest for the DLC. They both feature extra quests that open after you've completed the most important part so it gives your character a reason to stick around for a little while longer.
I'm not sure they have that much replayability however (unlike some of the Factions quests which usually offered two Twists of Fate as a reward and forced you to pick one that reflected the actions of your character). It's not as if you could steer things away from what has been ordained (ironic for the Fateless One isn't it?) and these areas may not be so much fun the second time. At least The Legend of Dead Kel may offer some variety and rewards that can convince a dedicated player to give it another go but IMO the Teeth of Naros doesn't offer the same incentive. |

| I'm pretty sure I heard that Teeth or Naros has the Kollosae in it. Finally, the half an hour I spent reading about them can go to some use. |

| Ah, sweet. The lore about them seemed very well thought-out. Now, to scrape together the extra cash for the two DLCs. |

| Do think I'll wait till I actually get to Rathir, though. |

| You have to go to Rathir for the Legend of Dead Kel (level 10 minimum) but there is no such limitation with Teeth of Naros (I played it at level 20) waiting is better for level scaling (so you can get better items). If you take into account the level cap then it may not matter that much so IMO the best option is probably to play the DLC whenever you feel like it. |

| Alright, then, I'll revise my statement: I'll wait until I have enough spare money. I just bought myself a Kindle Fire and I'm planning on buying Diablo III (which, by the way, is awesome) ASAP. |

| Perhaps you should wait for their server problems to be sorted out (you have to log in to be able to play the game). I've read that Diablo 3 doesn't live up to the hype. I almost bought it (I really enjoyed Diablo 1 back in the days) but due to limited gaming time I prefer to avoid disappointements.
Now regarding KoAR iIf you're in no rush to play the DLCs you can wait until you've completed the main quest. It's really not a problem. |

| Nah, trust me. People are just butthurt over the whole having to log in thing. Trust me, it is a pain in the ass, and I'd really prefer the option to have my single-player offline, but the core gameplay i just as amazing as you'd expect. Got a guest pass from a friend, and I've played through the trial as Wizard. It's a great game. |

| I still have some games to complete and I'm having fun with my new KoAR character (finesse/sorcery) so I think I'll wait for all the bugs to be fixed and I'll see if I want to be bothered with having to be logged in to play a game. I understand that we need to log in once to authenticate a game but having to log in all the time? In all fairness there is no gainsaying that it's a bit asinine to have to log in for the single player part of the game... It's almost as if you're renting the game instead of buying it. If that's the future of videogames then I guess we're screwed. Even Steam has an offline mode... |

| Aye, it is most disappointing. If games go like this for all time, then we may very well be screwed. However, I am willing to overlook it for one incredible game. |

| Alright, I'm at Rathir, and I'm in a position to get the expansion packs. However, I'd like to only get one of them right now. Which should I buy? |

| IMO Teeth of Naros is not the sort of DLC you want to play several times (once or twice but I don't think most people would enjoy playing it the third time) as it is a bit linear but the story is amazing.
Legend of Dead Kel may seem more integrated within the OC and it provides quality entertainment as well (if you liked the original game and want some more). It can be linear too but you feel like you have more freedom (somehow that was my impression even if it's not 100% the case).
If you like the game and pick either one of them you can't really go wrong. I'd suggest Legend of Dead Kel but it's a tough call. After all it was the first DLC so it would make sense to pick it up first. The only drawback is the pirate theme which can be a bit boring after a while but if you don't mind that or actually enjoy this sort of things it's not bad. |

Oh, don't mind about that, I love its pirate theme |

| The pirate theme is cool but with all the pirate movies it seems that you can't take a step without running into some pirates. If you like it then problem solved (not that it was much of a problem to begin with). |

| Haha, still haven't gotten either. Got sucked into my rogue and my mage character. And, now I'm wanting to make a pure warrior character. |

| Good for you! It's always nice to enjoy a game that much. I've played through the game with a Finesse/Might/Sorcery build Universalist and my last character was a Finesse/Sorcery build but I'm feeling like trying something different. Perhaps a single class build so I can see what the high level abilities are like. |

| Sounds good to me. I may give a fulltime wizard a try, spellcasters are really fun to play and Chakrams are simply wicked (if a bit boring since you destroy everything in your while avoiding close quarters). |

| I love chakrams. Best weapons in the game.
I recently switched from a greatsword to a longsword on my battlemage. The greatsword was just too slow; I could never get any decent hits in. With the longsword, I'm able to put out a lot more damage. |

| Longswords are more efficient all around.
I don't really "get" two handed weapons in this game. I've chalked this to my playing style but it may be simply that the loss in speed doesn't make up for the range and damage.

| Yeah, not at all. The only real advantage that they have over longswords is Guillotine, which is my single favourite special weapon move in the game. It's the block + attack move for greatwords: You swing the sword down, use it as a vault and do a front flip, and swing it down again. A good parry + Guillotine has helped me through a lot of fights. |
