| From the Journal of Shanana
It is over, the Oblivion Crisis is over and Martin is gone. Khajiits don't cry. Why are this one's eyes so blurry and the heart aching for an Imperial? Why does this one just want to get away from it all? Go out into the wilderness and kill things, anything. Find a cave, clean it out and hibernate for a century or so.
With good sneak skills and a fantastic chameleon ring this one found this one was able to get the Amulet of kings and only killed four people, three people and a Dremora Lord. That ring is wicked, a ring to die for and a lot of people have.
With Mancor Cameron's death this one was returned to Cloud Ruler Temple to the sound of cheers. Gave Martin the Amulet, he put it on rather hesitantly. Not fear but awe showed in that one's face. Then he told this one he was meeting Ocato at the Palace. This one tried to persuade him to go directly to the Temple but no he said things had to be done properly and the Elder Council respected. So off we went, Martin, Jaufree, Bauus and this one.
Ocato hailed Martin as Emperor with much kneeling and bowing but a guard burst into the chamber yelling that Daedra were swarming in, Oblivion gates opening all around the palace. Ocato turned to Martin, asked what should be done and Martin said we had to get to the Temple or all was lost. The Imperial Guard rallied round and we fought our way to the Temple district. Good men died this one will give them that. They did their job without hesitation.
Once in the Temple District there was another great fight and then the shout went out, Dagon was here, physically here towering over everything. Was he one gigantic monster. Martin stopped. "It is too late to light the Dragon Fires. Now that Dagon is here we have no way to send him back to Oblivion." I asked about the Amulet and he replied, "The Amulet is not a weapon, was never intended as a weapon." Then a pensive thoughtful look came over his face. "I know what I was born to do. Trust me. Get me past Dagon and into the Temple."
Who? This one is no fighter, only a sneak thief. So of course this one pulled out the Bane of kKvatch sword picked up and we fought our way into the temple. This one loves using that sword on Cyrodiil's enemies. Teaches them not to be so arrogant.
In the Temple Martin knelt down for a moment then rose and said to me. oh, pshaw, those can't be tears. Khjiits don't cry. He said, "You have been a good friend in the short time we have known each other but now I must go. The future of the Empire lies in the hands of others. Your hands, my friend."
He ran to the Altar and stood in the center raising the Amulet in his hands and then slowly floated up just as Dagon literally burst into the Temple. The roof of the Temple flew apart and a fi5ery dragon appeared and Martin disappeared or was it that Martin disappeared and a fiery Dragon appeared. The Battle commenced and a sight to behold it was. I don’t think I breathed and I know I couldn't move, not a twitch. Whatever that Dragon did Dagon suddenly vanished and the Dragon turned to stone, A huge stone Dragon now stands guard over the Imperial City and not just Cyrodiil but all of Tamriel.
Ocato rushed in crying out for Martin. With broken voice I told him Martin was gone. He figured it out, The divine power of Akatosh and the Septim Dragon Born Blood, Martin's blood, combined to form the Avatar of Akatosh. The Oblivion gates are sealed shut forever. No Dragon Fire is now needed; Martin's blood combined with the Power of the Amulet has sealed that path.
I walked out of the Temple passing Jaufree and Baurus,. We spoke briefly and I moved on feeling lost. Ocato is right. What an Emperor he would have made. He would have built an Empire based on respect and consideration for all the different people and their customs and ways. What will happen now I don't know and I don't really care.
"All hail the Champion of Cyrodiil." The Imperial Guard say when they see me. I just wish they would shut up and leave me be. I can write no more. The Mothers are wrong Khajiits can so cry.

| I actual wrote this two or three years ago. I liked the main quest, and the ending always made me teary. The Khajiits in Oblivion were crap in my opinion but this fit a khajiit. Cats don't cry.
Yes, the end of an era. Skyrim maybe the last Elder Scrolls game if they don't learn how to produce games that are not filled with bugs. People like the open worlds but broken quests, other things wrong and someone else will rise to take their place.
I am thinking of getting BG Enhanced. |

| Meh, I don't mind the bugs that much. I seem to get lucky a lot, and miss most of them. |

| The bugs that I hate are the broken quests. Those really annoy me. What are beta testers doing if they don't check to see if quests don't work properly?
Maybe if I found the so called main quest in Skyrim more interesting I wouldn't mind so much. Oh well, I got my money worth in playing it so I shouldn't complain. |

| The only way to enjoy Skyrim is to forget how great it could have been. |

| You always make sense, Cara, sometimes in a strange way but always something worth hearing/seeing. Sometimes hilarious. |
