So I now have three testers. Two here and at least one on DC. Good, that should give some balance to opinions. Mainly I want to know how buggy it is and does it break mods. Thanks, guys, for volunteering.

Well like any expansion its going to break something. Lets face it any Skyrim update has a high chance of breaking somebody's mod. Hopefully since Dragonborn has been out on Xbox for a while the PC version may already be up to date. Actually maybe not but I like to keep open minded. On the plus side I haven't read loads of articles about bugs in DB as opposed to DG and to be fair most of those actual DG bugs I never experienced so I can assume most of them were patched out by the time I purchased it or are just infrequent. Although I remember when Operation Anchorage came out for Fallout 3 and my game would crash every five minutes. Heres hopiing history doesn't repeat itself.

I don't have a whole lot of mods so the only thing i can really say is if i notice any paritcularly bad bugs.

Lndf, you are free to talk about whatever you want about the DLC. I am not telling anyone what they may or may not post just saying what my primary interest is.

Download size of Dragonborn is 990mb. I have another 3 minutes to go and then we'll see if my game is broken. From what I read though Dragonborn is not updating Skyrim just downloading the BSA files etc so one would assume it should still be version 1.81 (or something, can't remember what version we're on now). On another note I have a question. Is the Navmesh bug gone because according to most information I've read it was dealt with in the 1.6 update. The reason I ask is I frequentally see a different perspective from someone who says it still exists. Whats the real truth behind this?

I Understand that it is mostly gone but some mods may be need to be updated by the modder. Haven't played Skyrim for a while but I don't remember any issues the last few times I did play.

I have played it some but it is too early to really give a good opinion on it. I only quit because a video driver bug(completely unrelated to skyrim) caused the game to crash.

| Ok, i figured i would mention a bug i encountered. There is a quest called: reluctant steward, I would recommend saving before beginning that quest - Spoiler:
A telvanni master named neloth sends you to find his steward. She is dead but sometimes it bugs out and her body spawns somewhere unreachable. If that happens, reload a save before beginning the quest.

| Cheers Nakia.
Like Lndf117 I find it too early to give my verdict on Dragonborn. I have completed the Dragonborn questine which isn't that long anyway but theres a lot of other stuff to see so I'm going to explore some more.
I also experienced a strange lockup of my game at one point but since it also happened in Windhelm the other day I'll put it down to one of my mods or the ENB I'm currently trying out. I did see an NPC appear to stand on a table once which was pretty funny but the main thing I found is dragon riding is totally bugged. I had to turn off the collision in the console to finish the Dragonborn questline since everytime I mounted the dragon it would fly off and my character was just sat in mid air and since you need to fly the dragon to get to the arch villain well it was pretty annoying. Tried it 5 different times reloading the game from two different saves and I still had the same problem. It could be a mod conflict I'll have to check somemore. |

Thanks, guys. Good critiquing. Please keep it up. By the time I get around to playing DB I will be able to fly through it.

HD texture pack just got updated today, improved textures for Heartfire, Dawnguard and Dragonborn. While I'm grateful for it I do wish they wouldn't spring things out of nowhere since steam is now gobbling whats left of my mobile broadband allowance so I'll have to top up. Grrr! Good and bad I suppose.

You use a mobile connection? My home Internet actually does have a cap, it's 250GB a month.

LDnf117: That must be really nice for you. If you must know I use mobile broadband because its useful when I'm out and about on my laptop and not at home on my desktop. I never wanted to put broadband connection at home since its not really worth it for me considering how little I actually download. Most of the games I buy are usually retail versions and when I do buy downloadable stuff in a Steam sale I don't usually download it on my MB connection I simply take a 64bit USB with Steam installed on it and download it at my friends house since he doesn't have a cap on his bandwidth. My Mobile broadband is great and certainly fast enough for downloading typical sized mods, small steam updates, reasonable sized dlc and doing a lot of internet browsing per month. As well as being good for a few hours playing Torchlight 2 multiplayer per month. On this occasion since I wanted to play Dragonborn I used my mobile broadband to download it. 990MB was fine but a 1.5GB out of nowhere update of the HD textures was not. Anything else you'd like to know or shall we go back on topic?

No I was just curious. I just figured I would state that my home Internet does instead have a cap. I haven't played skyrim anymore so fat because I took the computer apart to figure out what DVD drive it had so I could replace it since it is broken

Lndf117: Well I suppose its good to be curious sometimes. Actually I was curious why every ENB mod runs like crap on my computer despite switching off AO and DOF. Finally found one that works well. Also I've fixed that dragon riding bug I had. Turns out it was Realistic Force mod that was the culprit. I see a lot of people whining about the dragon riding but I think its perfectly acceptable in regards to stability and performance. Don't know if you remember that mod Saiden Storm did for Oblivion that was real dragon riding. Only problem flying where you wanted and forcing the game to load so many cells usually caused CTD's galore. Great mod of what could be one day I suppose. I hate taking my computer apart. Of course you don't need the DVD drive to play Skyrim as I'm sure you know but an empty bay in a pc is no good to anyone skeevers can get in there.

Yeah the drive has been broken for months, i finally decided to get a replacement, i will probably order one tomorrow. I am going to leave the current one in until i get a replacement. My dad built the computer so it didn't require a whole lot of taking apart to get the drive out but i also took the video card out to clean dust out of it. Yeah i remember Saiden Storm's dragon mod.

Well they're not exactly expensive these days which is a good thing. I've got a broken DVD RW thats just sat in one of my bays I keep thinking of replacing it with Blu-ray. I still haven't done it mind you because my standard DVD drive still works fine.
