Yep, with a completely different OS. This is what runs on Jolla phones, and it is bloody awesome. The swipe-heavy interface works very bloody well. Being a long-time BlackBerry 10 user which also has a swipe-based interface, it felt very natural and organic.
The Jolla mobiles have taken a price drop to 250€, still expensive but not much more than getting an off-plan Windows Phone or CrackBerry. I am tempted, but it's smarter to wait until Sailfish gets more traction. I am still burned at the fact that Mozilla dropped Firefox OS when it was starting to become really damn good with drastically improved performance and regular updates.
A true open source OS could make a dent in the "big 3". I genuinely hope Jolla succeeds, because I don't want to see a Google/Apple duopoly. If that happens, I'll dust out the good old dumbphones.
