| Maybe but Pierre Teilhard de Chardin wasn't American and neither was J.R.R. Tolkien. And there would be no pun with Ralph Waldo Emerson or Henry David Thoreau. |

| Hehe, my ancestor (the first of my family name to settle in North America) was a former pirate or privateer in France I believe before he was shipped to New France. Matter a fact, he was on the same boat as Maisonneuve (the founder of Montréal), was the third colonist to receive land in Montréal and was one of three men in charge of the defense of the colony (along with his wife's father). We have a couple of his defensive exploits against the native americans. Apparently he was a hero and has today a small monument in Montréal. So I have hero blood in my veins... mouahahaha |
