| I think most people probably don't care so it's nice to see someone who actually does. From what I've seen so far Skyrim is going to be way better than Oblivion and that is really good news. I never cared that much for Oblivion, it was fun but it wasn't such a great game as far as I'm concerned. |

| Oblivion was not great a game unmodded. I fear a few really good modders (my opinion) have spoiled me. They turned a medicre game into a really good game for me.
I do appreciate what the modders did for Oblivion and have never publicly bashed a mod even when I did not care for it (my opinion). On NExus I do give positive ratings and comments unless disabled. Very few people bother.
As for voice actors by now every one should know how I feel and not because I am one (sort of) I felt that way before I even considered becoming one. (Don't forget to remind me of that and we start modding Skyrim and I get frustrated) |

| Yep, counts he days, hours and secs. I must go check out what he has done during my absence. I don't think there is much news as I subscribe to his Blog and only got a couple of notifications. I think I did the poll before I left but there may be some more lore. I love the lore section. |

| That's nice. I've grown concerned about the requirements to run this game since my computer seemingly can't run the Witcher 2... I wonder how much of a "leap" Skyrim is going to be. I can run Fallout 3 and FNV on ultra settings with several gigs of mods so I keep my fingers crossed for Skyrim as I really can't afford an upgrade at the moment. |

| I think I saw something about the fact that if you can run Fallout N/V you should be able to run Skyrim. The best thing is to ask Paul71, if anyone knows it should be him. I do suggest upgrading your computer if possible. I have not heard what requirements there are for the Creative Kit (CS) but if it is similiar to Oblivions it will require a more memory than the game itself. Also to benefit from the new graphics you may need to upgrade your video card. I sound as if I know what I am talking about but this is based on my experience with Oblivion where I could play the game but not use the CS. My current computer should be able to handle it easily and is upgradeable. |

| The weak point of my current machine is the processor, it's not that bad (2.0 GHz) but it's just under the minimum requirements for the Witcher 2. The rest should be fine. I keep my fingers crossed. |

| The Witcher 2 was notoriously processor heavy. I couldn't even run it on my machine at the top settings without getting slow downs and stuttering.
Bethesda are being coy about system requirements. Only today Pete Hines was stonewalling questions about minimum system requirements on Twitter, which is odd considering the game is only 3 months away from release.
But, yes, Nakia is right. It was intimated some while ago that it would be less heavy on processor and graphic cards than F:NV, due to the new and improved graphics engine
So if you're maxing New Vegas you should be fine |

| Thanks for confirming what Nakia mentioned Paul71. I made sure my computer was good enough to run Fallout 3 on ultra settings when I purchased it (the graphic card was of paramount importance) and I have no problems running FNV so this is pretty good news to me. It's funny when you look back and think about old computers... The computers we used to run in the 90s can't compete with today's phones. It's crazy. |

| Windows 3.5? That was my first windows program. Go back a little further. No hard drive. How excited we were when we got a hard drive. How pricey it was too. Personally I am not at all convinced that the Windows OS is an improvement over some of the earlier computers. I ended up with Windows mainly because of work. |

| I do remember when we used to rely on floppy disks. It wasn't that bad. I'm not convinced that newer is necessarily better but then when computers are concerned there is this irrepressible urge to update everything all the time. |

| I remember playing Might and Magic 2 on 5 1/4 floppy disks on a 386 computer with monochrome orange and black graphics. Not that bad? Not with the random encounters and disk switching, not to mention the loading times. Man am I glad I own MM1-MM5 on CD. |

| I remember switching between CDs on my old computer when I first played Baldur's Gate. Sometimes it crashed and I had to replay the entire fight (especially the one with Daevorn since I had to switch CDs when the mines were flooded). I ended up making some space on my hard drive so I could copy the movies to the game directory. Not a minor feat when you only have a 2 gigabytes hard drive (which was pretty good back in 1998).
Sometimes I think about old games with outdated graphics and I remember having more fun playing these old games twelve years ago than I have now playing more recent games. Might and Magic VI The Mandate of Heaven was incredibly fun to play.
I feel like playing some old game. I'm having problems getting Morrowing to run on my computer so I may play Knights of the Old Republic or Vampire Bloodlines instead. |

| I had forgotten about the need to switch disks. To be fair to the new games I do think part of our rememberance is simple nostalgia. Computer games were new. We entered a new and wonderful world where we could play out our fantasies. We had no high expectations and just simply accepted the wonder of the new age. I don't care what our age was we were all young when it came to those old games. Betrayal at Krondor, MM, BG. Nothing can touch them because they were I first love. |

| I never got a chance to play Betrayal at Krondor but I remember reading some reviews in RPG magazines. It was undoubtedly a turning point for CRPGs. |

| Yes, it was certainly considered that. Was it a true role playing game? You played Owen, a young novice (at the start) wizard. You had no choice in setting him up although you did when it came to developing his skills. He was using AD&D terms lawful good. There were quite a few quests of various kinds to do but the game was basically linear. The graphics were flat and a joke compared to todays graphics. It had a good solid cult following including me. It is still around and can be played using DOSBox at least it could with XP. It was based on the Riftwar series which I had read. The characters followed the series fairly well. Shut up, Nakia, you could go on all day about BAK and the Riftwar saga. |

| I really should take a look at the Gamespot Newsletter more often. Note the following Minecraft wins interim injunctionSo Bethesda thinks it own the name Scrolls as related to games. The Elder Scrolls" phrase I would agree with but not the word "Scrolls" Much as I support Bethesda in this case I believe them to be wrong. |

| I think what annoyed Bethesda more than anything was the fact that the logo design for the game 'Scrolls' had a very familiar feel to it. It was hard to think that was co-incidental |

| The more I learn about this the more I suspect Notch of doing the Scroll thing deliberately to get Bethesda riled up. Nowena says something to the effect that there is no bad publicity. She knows from first hand experience at least game wise. Mention of Minecraft and Quake certainly won't hurt them. Bethesda also gets some advertising, so everyone comes out ahead. Men!!! Women wouldn't do that hmm well they might tear each others hair out. |
